Planning Board removes construction restriction from 2005 subdivision

NH BOW — Bow Planning Board unanimously removes decades-old construction restriction on subdivision lot. The board voted to strike Condition #3 from the Lehrmann property's approved subdivision plan after expert testimony established that shallow soil and ledge depth make the restricted frontage area incapable of supporting a compliant septic system under New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services standards. Soil test pits documented average depth to ledge of approximately 12 inches, below the required 18-inch minimum.

Multiple septic system layouts, both conventional and alternative, could not meet regulatory requirements.
