Committee backs recreation center addition with cost-cutting alternatives

NH BOW — Bow's Buildings & Facilities Advisory Committee votes to move forward with recreation center storage and office addition. The committee approved a motion by Vice Chair Thomas Betteridge supporting the project after learning that low bidder Cobb Hill came in higher than anticipated; the motion instructs staff to explore cost-reduction alternatives while protecting the recreation center's revenue operations, which have contributed $300,000 to the community building over two years. The vote was 4 to 0.
