NH BOW — Budget Committee approves flat-rate 2026-27 budgets. Chair Lisa Franklin and Selectman Chris Nicolopoulos presented town budgets holding the municipal tax rate at $4.62 despite $3.2 million in new spending, offset by $2.8 million in revenues from motor vehicle fees. A $2 million state grant supports waterline extension to Bow Junction.
The School Board reduced capital-improvement funding from $1 million to $700,000 amid 16 percent health insurance cost increases and 11 percent contracted-services increases. School Warrant Article #4 failed decisively, with just one vote in favor and seven opposed.
