Master Plan Steering Committee reviews road classifications and land use map

Master Plan Steering Committee · Meeting of July 14, 2026

NH BOW — Bow Master Plan Steering Committee works to align road classifications with regulations. The committee unanimously approved prior minutes and discussed proposed changes to align the Master Plan's road classifications with the town's Subdivision Regulations, which define Arterial, Collector, and Local roads to determine sight distance, lane width, and right-of-way standards for new development. Based on Town Engineer recommendations and traffic volume analysis, several roads are candidates for reclassification, with consensus agreement on White Rock Hill Road as Collector and Tom O'Donovan proposing South Bow Road and Bow Bog Road as Arterial.

Committee members will review draft land use and subdivision maps and provide comments to Community Development Director Karri Makinen while traffic count data is processed.
