Business Development Commission · Meeting of October 7, 2026

NH BOW — Business Development Commission reviewed completed intersection improvements and discussed business recognition plans. The commission heard that the Dow Road/Route 3A Intersection Improvements project has been completed, with members noting the new pavement striping and bypass lane configuration should enhance traffic flow and safety. Members generally supported developing a formal business recognition process, with suggestions including welcome letters, appreciation letters, ribbon cuttings, and challenge coins.

Community Development Director Karri Makinen reported that the Bow Mills Redevelopment Strategy consultant team is planning a public outreach event in January 2027, and that recent legislative action involving the state's Ten-Year Transportation Plan appears to improve funding prospects for I-89 Exit 1 Improvements.
